How to wear Plus Size Business Casual
Recently I have been looking in to get back in to the traditional workforce. It has been fun finding outfits for the interview process. Since my background is Fashion Design, I love outfit that are classic but with an edge. I love black because of the ease, add a pop of color, and it become memorable.
How to wear Plus Size Business Casual
- Choose neutral color as a base
- White shirts are always an easy started piece for any outfit
- Pick a pop of color in the accessories
- Bold Necklace brings attention to your face making you memorable
- Other jewelry should be understated (small earring, simple bracelets)
- Jewelry/ Handbag should not make noise it will distract from you ablity to get your point across effectively
- Clean Lines that are not sexy
- No Glitter or Sparkles (including shoes)- they leave the wrong impression plus will leave traces of you behind in an office (not good if on an interview)
The Jacket is Gwynnie Bee is a subscription based clothing service that allows you to pick out a a virtual closet of clothes and send you them to wear. You can either purchase them at a discount or return them after wearing them. It is like having new clothes weekly, wear them once or more and return when finished. They specialize in sizes 10-32. Free shipping to and from you home. I adore the idea of renting clothes because I don’t like to wear the same things more than once. I cant recommend them enough.
