10 reason I love myself and hate my thighs
So for the most part I love my self. I truly think that I can do and accomplish most things.. then every once in a while reality reminds you.. I am a big girl.
5 exterior reasons & 5 Interior:
- eyes love them they are big and round a fun color brown
- My leg they are long
- My height 5’11
- I have hard nails think man of steel nails
- Great skin
- Love with all my heart
- I am a supportive friend
- I believe in tough love , I will care for you but will only allow so much self pity
- I think everyone has the ablity to be amazing
- I am kind and trusting
So my slap in the face today.. which made me mad .. was the movie seats were narrow. I have lost some weight so I feel great.. then the seats and my thighs reminded me I need to loose more. I am not acceptable as a movie watcher because they cant make seat that fit me. It was enough Ok room for me but then I was pissed for my friend who might not fit in that seat.
Then it reminded me of when I went to see Les Miserables (or for me Les Miserable) in NYC and that seat yea sucked not built for a big ass or long legs. $50+ for a ticket to be uncomfortable as they repeated the same song over and over again.. if it could make the show last any longer. I still am refusing to see the movie, in fear of flashbacks.
Which then reminded me of the one reason I really wanted to get smaller thighs years ago .. the dreaded airline seat. You know the ones where the arm rest pushes up when you sit down. Yea when the thin guy sits next to you and he just wants to put the arm rest down so your thigh does not touch his.. You can avoid this by sitting in bulk head. (been there done that)
Oh and forget about the asking for an airline belt extensions.. from the skinny flight attended, who gives you “that look”. I want to say “If the flight is going down, I am sure this little lap belt will save me, Right??? ”
And yet the fight attendants dbl check .. to make sure you are buckled in properly.
I have actuality avoided asking for an extension by sucking in and push my hips all the way back in the seat..
Yea the guy next to me is thinking “Lady just get the extension, you are not fooling anyone”.
…Suck in and Click
10 seconds After take off
Release my lap belt, my thighs spread to the guy next to me, they push up the arm rest, and I relax awaiting the arrival of the drink cart… Thinking of my 10 things I love about myself.
So what are your things?
I love your ability to find the amazing in everyone and you do have fabulous eyes! Thanks for reminding me today to think about my own positive attributes and not my “less than fabulous” ones!
Those are some pretty great things to love. Sounds like you have a lot more good things than negative things to think about 🙂 I’m gonna work on my list…
Come back and let me know your list. Thanks for stopping by
Oh, seriously! Broadway seats are meant for the tiniest of people. My husband and I squeeze in and I want to cry half the time! They’re not counted, nor are airline seats!!
I have big thighs and they aren’t really going anywhere! But I love the focus on the good and positive things. 🙂
Andrea.. I am still hesitant to see a play in NYC my husband is refusing because he was so uncomfortable. We have to focus on out good list.
I really enjoyed your list of likes.
Everyone should have a list of likes.
I freak about my thighs a bit. I know they’ve carried me a lot of places. Still as a runner, they don’t look like runner’s thighs. I need to let that go and appreciate them for the hard work they do carrying kids.
I love the idea of carrying kids.. great point Barb
I hate regular theater seats! Now I won’t go anywhere but the one in Marlton. Comfy recliners!
I like the tear drop lara necklace
