Monica Lewinsky talks cyber bullying : I don’t normally share speeches .. so I felt this message need to be shared. I really respect Monica Lewinsky for speaking out about how cruel the internet was to her and others. In her 41 years she is using her story to bring light to cyber bullying. She spoke out this fall at the Forbes 30 under 30 summit to her experiences in the past 16 years and how it shamed her family. I love her video talk, she has never talked openly int he past 10 years about the her intimate details of the Star Report being released in 1998, and how the internet help exposed intimate details of her life. The affect of complete strangers words on herself esteem.
Cyber bullying has to stop we have to protect our young and ourselves. We need to think before we write on line. We must share her story and other stories of the “culture of humiliation” has to shared so the shaming of others have to stop on and off the internet.
We all should not standby and allow the cyber rubbernecking as a bystander has to stop. We have an “Empathy crisis” as Monica says.
Lewinsky, She is a class act she is using her story for good, to point out how cyber bullying has to end. She relates to all of us, I am thoroughly impressed. I will leave to you decided. Regardless her message rings true. I ask that you share Monica’s words she has something to teach all of us.
Being a plus size women- know of the harshness of others the looks stares or negative comments. As my children have grown I have taught them empathy and kindness but it is lacking with people hiding behind the keyboard of there tech.
