How to choose the right swim suit in a plus size : Over the next few weeks I will be share more great swim suits for the plus size women. As we move into summer, I will be spending more time at the neighborhood pool. It always takes a few weeks to feel comfortable after shedding my winter layers.

Oh those layers.. that make me feel like I am 5’10 Model with extra padding. Yes, once they go away, I have to think about how it wiggles and what jiggles. Then I purchase small piece of spandex and elastic, that might have some power mesh, to keep my “bits” together. Thank God for Power mesh, just think the women of years gone by did not have these technologically driven swimsuits, we should count ourselves as lucky..

Right?

NOT… we are still Plus Size ladies in swimwear & we need to be proud of out Womanly figures! Many of these body’s have created life and these stretch marks are out badges of honor!

.. and I am sticking with that story.

How to choose the right swimsuit in a plus size;

When trying on a suit – never used a “shared” dressing room
Always wear underwear (because ewe)
Be sure to take a picture with your phone.. I say this because you can see how you look from different angles
Wear jewelry- I know you don’t at the beach but you want to feel good about yourself when trying the suits on, jewelery helps because it fits
Wear you hair down and bring a clip to tie you hair up.. because you get different vision of how you look. Image of yourself
Buy a suit that covers your butt- bend over and touch your toes does it ride up?
Make sure “The Girls” look supported an not saggy- Are you wanting place the “lets see what we look like with a boob lift” Game?? Then don’t buy the suit make sure the boobs are up and high.
Do take advantage of Ruching (aka Gathering on sides) it hides those “More Places to Love” areas
Prints they are your friend so try them, they are in right now.. Plus size women always want a black suit, they don’t hide anything a pattern moves the eye.
Solid colors on bottoms and Patterns on top Helpful for those who have “assets” and want to use them
Flaunt the girls- bathing suits are a way to show off your ‘Girls” so please do .. make those of us who don’t have them (I am a B cup) appreciate you have those glorious “D’s” .
Avoid suits that are too loos or too tight no one wants chub rub.. (here is my post to avoid it)
